Mrs. George Suydan, sister of Mrs. John Hunter, South Green Street; George Wilkinson, Simpson Street and D.M. Wilkinson, South Walnut Street is dead as the result of an automobile accident which occurred early Monday near Greenfield, Ind. Mrs. Suydan died enroute to an Indianapolis Hospital shortly after the accident. She was accompanied by her husband, who is reported in a critical condition, while the other occupatants of the car, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Suydan were injured (uninjured?). The accident occurred about two o'clock Monday morning and was reported to have resulted from a collision with another machine. The son, Harold Suydan was badly bruised and cut but is not regarded as in serious condition.

Note: Gertrude Wilkinson Suydan died 7-25-1927 and was born 7-20-1882

This community was very much shocked on learning of the tragic death of Mrs. Gertrude Suydam (sic). Mrs. Suydam was a resident of Waynetown when a girl and for a time after her marriage and has many friends and numerous relatives who regret her untimely death. The husband and son have the sympathy of the entire community and it is believed that they may recover as rapidly as possible from the injuries which they sustained in the accident.
